Sara Weir

Sara Weir is an American film photographer, writer, professional ballerina and mother of five living and working in the high desert of Nevada. Her work explores the tension of the mother-artist, observation of self through imagery and text and photography not as artifact but as the tool for insight into the present. For ten years she photographed documentary portraits; now she turns her lens toward herself as memoir.
